1st time there. We stopped for lunch. Seated right away. Service was on point. Clean floors and tables. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but once you open the door the restaurant is alive with the vibrant colors and sounds of Mexico. We ordered from the lunch menu and we both throughly enjoyed our meal. We met the owner and found her to be very pleasant. I would definitely eat there again.

Just googled this place, just know at the time of this review the name is not Maria Bonita. It's now El Mazcal. Food was really great. Service was super. Food came out quickly. Portion size, you're leaving full. As soon as you sit down chips and salsa. I'd come back for sure. Maybe tomorrow ... classic Mexican ambiance inside with great Spanish music videos playing in the background.

Stumbled upon this gem while running errands around the area. My older son loves Mexican food and we had to make a spontaneous stop for a late lunch at around 3 p.m. Parking was not an issue, there is plenty of parking for the businesses around this area. We were the only patrons at the time, and Ivette took good care of us from the get-go. I loved the ambiance and the bright colors of the dining area, reminded me of a few favorite Mexican diners I've been to. The chips and salsa came in fast and we indulged as we looked over the menu. Ivette guided us on what is popular and other recommendations since this was the first time here. We ended up ordering the following, which I'll highly recommend $7.95 Quesadilla Kid Plate + corn tortillas $12.95 Burrito Wet $12.95 Margarita Flavored Margarita $12.95 Pina Colada Flavored Margarita The meal sizes were huge! I had to split the Burrito. My kiddos enjoyed the Quesadilla immensely. The food was fresh and tasty, couldn't ask for more. I'll be looking to run more errands around the area to give myself an excuse to visit this little gem.

Came here for Cinco de Mayo and it was pretty busy luckily we were able to get a seat right away and they had a special menu. I had the Horchata and Mole enchilada. The sauce was really really good adding a lot of flavor to each bite of chicken enchilada. The Horchata help washed on every bite and was very refreshing and large. Although they were really busy the service was really fast.

This has become one of our local favorite places the last couple of years. They are not huge and super fancy. They are a down right fun looking restaurant and the employees are always amazing and the food hands down for the price are large portions and always cooked perfectly. Many other places I have been too have overcooked their food. Never here. With COVID going on the last couple of years I am happy to see they have survived. They still have half the place closed down and they staff is still small from pre COVID. They have not let the hell we have all been through shut them down either. The plates again are huge, the menu has everything you would want. The have in house specials and yes they do have a bar too. The place is cozy for a night out with your significant other. It is not noisy and the decor is fun. I really feel if you have been to other local Mexican restaurants you should give them a try, I seriously think you will appreciate their food as much as we do.

You need to try Maria Bonita if you ever want to treat yourself to a feast. The portions are HUGE as most dishes come with a rice and beans with warm tortillas on the side. I always thought big portions were used to compensate on lack of flavor or quality but Maria Bonita has always been nothing but delicious. My favorite dish is the Wet Burrito - burrito filled with your choice of meat and comes with a side of rice, beans and a little bit of lettuce with tomatoes. The sauce on top of the burrito adds this level of kick and the sides perfectly compliment the flavors. I've typically preferred burritos that you can eat with your hands but this deconstructed style with the beans and rice on the side is my new favorite! You can ensure you have the right amount of beans or rice or meat in every bite. What makes Maria Bonita so great is the service! Every single waiter we've encountered has been super friendly and quick to check in on us constantly. They also appear to have superb memory as I've never seen them write down any orders but have never mixed up our orders. Their updated menu is amazing as it showcases all the dishes with photos scattered throughout the entire menu. It can be overwhelming and a little hard to decide which dish to choose but it just makes me more excited to come back and try something new!
